In the past, Les Halles were a big market supplying all Paris’s area. Now, it’s mall called Forum des Halles. It houses the most important train station of metro and RER of the capital. There is also the Saint Eustache Church, one of the most beautiful in Paris, with its gothic architecture and Renaissance influence.
Building and orientation
It’s a contemporary building with thorough common areas. The apartment is double oriented: one facing the street and the other one facing the courtyard with a view on Beaubourg. It is located on the 6th floor, directly accessible by the elevator.
Layout of the apartment
This double-oriented family flat has a nice volume and a nice layout. The lobby, with its storage space and separated WC, leads to the rooms. On the street side, there is the fully equipped with a dining table, a washing machine and a dishwasher; the bathroom has a bathtub, a bedroom with a 140 cm double bed, a bookcase and storage. The large windows and the glass doors separating the living room from the hall make it possible to enjoy the light all day long.
The Latin Quarter’s bookstores, publishers, and cafés are frequented by students of the neighboring universities. The sidewalks of Saint Germain bear the mark of bohemian and literary artists between old stone buildings and jazz clubs. Between Saint Germain and Saint Michel is the district of Odéon, where local students and foreign tourists alike gather to get a drink, dine, and go to the movies.
